I've gotten to a weird place, where I'm starting to move away from software and projects that prohibit AI contributions. I get the plight of open-source maintainers, but being
that backwards-facing while being pompous about it really just makes me want to leave (and I'm not even a guy submitting AI-generated PRs!)
GNU made the wrong call in this regard, Linux and Debian did the correct thing. Now I ran across a project I've liked for some time, Decker, and the author now has this in the README:
PRs must not incorporate any material generated by or with the assistance of any so-called "generative AI" tool or language model. Place your trash in an appropriate receptacle.
So no more Decker for me, John!
