LLMs are not tools. I know many people use the phrase "just tools" simply to indicate "they are what you make of them". Except that's not true. Automation has intrinsic properties and differences from tools that you ignore at your peril.

He gets this wrong. LLMs are just tools. He's right that automation is a specific kind of tool that has its own properties, but LLMs are still just a tool, albeit one that can automate new things. People of Rich's caliber should not be threatened by such things.
